Isn't it ironic that the optimum cycling cadence is 90+ pedal revolutions per minute and the optimum running leg turnover rate is 180+ foot strikes per minute. Most people find it easier adjusting to a 90 cadence on the bike than 180 SPM while running. That is why I include cycling in my training programs, as it helps athletes adjust to a more efficient leg turnover rate. What do you think?
