Impact of poor post 100 miler recovery explained


I receive many questions about recovery and why sometimes it takes longer than other times.

Besides the muscular system, the adrenal system also gets fatigued during a race. Ironman athletes call it "going to the well" - that place where you go deep inside when there is absolutely nothing left in the tank. These systems have totally different recovery timelines.
